For many years I have been very concerned about the impact of human activities on our planet. I have tried to help reduce this impact throughout my career.
Since 2007 I started to invest in solar energy generation, and little by little I became passionate about this sector and the potential it has to help create a more sustainable economic development model.
For me it is an honor to be part of the Continua family, sharing this passion to contribute to a more efficient energy model and collaborating with a group of friends and family with whom I have a relationship that goes beyond the professional.
I am currently President of Banco Falabella in Colombia, with responsibility also for Falabella Insurance. Prior to Falabella, I was responsible for Products and Marketing of the Retail Banking business of Barclays in Southern Europe and Director of the network of branches and digital channels of the same bank in Spain. Previously I worked at The Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey. I also founded one of the first e-commerce platforms in Spain, which I finally sold to Telefonica in 2001. Additionally, I am a member of the board of Falabella Colombia, Homecenter Colombia, Ikea Colombia, the University of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá (Uniempresarial) and I was appointed by the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia to the Advisory Board of ProColombia. I have a degree in Economics and Business Administration from ICADE-Universidad Pontificia de Comillas in Madrid, a degree in Law from the same University and an MBA from the University of Chicago-Booth with honors.
